A kastélyt a 19. század végén Boncza Miklós építtette Alpár Ignáccal. 1920-ban Boncza Berta eladta a család kastélyát Octavian Gogának, aki 1921–1926 között neobizánci stílusban alakíttatta át az épületet, így az eredetire már alig emlékeztet. 1966-ban Goga özvegye a román államnak hagyományozta az ingatlant, ekkor alapították meg az Octavian Goga Múzeumot.

Photos were donated by Sándor Iharos. The Boncza Castle in Csucsa, Kolozs County, Transylvania. The castle was built at the end of the 19th century by Miklós Boncza and Ignác Alpár. In 1920, Berta Boncza sold the family castle to Octavian Goga, who had the building rebuilt in the neo-Byzantine style between 1921 and 1926, so it hardly resembles the original. In 1966, Goga's widow bequeathed the property to the Romanian state, when the Octavian Goga Museum was founded.
