Szuppán-fotó, 1907. FORTE 1880-tól a Budapesti Kereskedelmi Akadémia tanáraként vett részt a közgazdasági oktatásban. Az egyetemen tíz éven át vezette a statisztika tanszéket. 1892-ben Kautz Gyula helyét vette át, a nemzetgazdaság és pénzügytan tanszéken. Későbbiekben kétszer a jogi kar dékánja, 1917-ben pedig az egyetem rektora is volt. Zsidó származása miatt (eredeti neve Weisz Béla), a budapesti gettóba zárták, ahol 1945. január 18-án hunyt el.

Teacher of the Budapest Academy of Commerce Mr. Béla Földes dr. He took part in economics education as a teacher at the Budapest Academy of Commerce from 1880. He headed the department of statistics at the university for ten years. In 1892 he took over the position of Mr. Gyula Kautz at the Department of National Economy and Finance. He later served as dean of the Faculty of Law twice, and in 1917 as rector of the university. Due to his Jewish origin (original name Béla Weisz), he was imprisoned in the Budapest ghetto, where he died on 18 January 1945.
