B. Éva nagyapjáról emlékezik meg írásában, ötven évvel a történtek után. Gyerekként a templomban látta őt utoljára, ahová összegyűjtötték az embereket. Éva az Abonyi utcai Zsidó Gimnáziumról beszél. Éva a Csehszlovákiában, Hollandiában történt nácik által elkövetettekről hallott. A nagyapa törődött a hitközséggel. Lembergből jött Budapestre családjával: feleségével, és véglegesen öt gyermekével, még a Monarchia idején. Az első világháborúban katonának hívták be, Galíciába került ki a frontra, Przemysl-be. 1920-21-ben már a családdal lehetett. Fia aranyműves szakmát szerzett, majd Amerikába ment. Egyik lánya húsz évesen tüdőbajban meghalt. Éva a negyvenes évek zsidósággal kapcsolatos negatív államintézkedéseit említi (KEOH, zsidótörvények, stb). A nagyapát 1941-ben ölték meg a nácik, amikor társaival a szabadságért próbált tenni. A szövegben a családtagok megnevezése, sorsuk is szerepel.

Ms. Éva B. is remembering about her grandfather, fifty years after the events. As a child, she last saw her grandfather in the temple, where they were collected. She mentions the Jewish High School at Abonyi street. Éva heard about the activities of Nazis in Czechoslovakia and in the Netherlands. Her grandfather cared about the community, he came from Lemberg with his family, with his wife and five children, during the time of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. He serves as a soldier between 1914 and 1918, he got to Przemysl in Galicia, to the front.. In 1920 and 1921 he was already at home again. His son was trained as a goldsmith and went to America. One of his daughters died in tuberculosis. Éva mentions the negative state actions related to Jewry during the forties (KEOH, Jewish laws, etc.) Her grandfather was killed in 1941 by Nazis, when he tried to do something for freedom with his fellows.
