A képen a budapesti Béke Szálló alagsorában kialakított Szondy borozó látható. A téglaboltozatos pincehelyiség hosszanti oldalain, fából készített box-rendszer fut végig. Elöl, balra egy búbos kemence látszik. A helyiség, Németh Aladár igazgató vezetésének ideje alatt lett kialakítva a két világháború közötti időszakban (akkor még a Britannia nevet viselte a hotel). A fotó elkészülte idején a Hungária Szálloda és Étterem Vállalat üzemeltette a szállodát és a benne található borozót is.

The picture shows the Szondy wine bar in the basement of the Béke Hotel in Budapest. A wooden box system runs along the long sides of the brick-vaulted cellar. In the front, on the left, you can see an oven. The room was formed during the time of Aladár Németh, the manager of the hotel between the two world wars (the hotel was then called Britannia). At the time of the photo, the hotel and the wine bar were run by the Hungária Hotel and Restaurant Company.
