A Fejér Megyei Hírlap 2003 nyarán megjelent cikkének híradása szerint: „Soha ennyi csecsemő és soha ennyi kürtőskalácsos nem volt még az Eger patak mentén, mint ahánnyal a mostani fesztiválon találkozhatunk (...) A hatalmas nyomás ellenére mindenki túlélte az első hétvégét a Művészetek völgyében. Legalább ötvenezren voltak kíváncsiak a programokra, ennek el lenére folyamatosan, ám kétségtelenül csigalassúsággal lehetett haladni azokon a keskeny útvonalakon is, ahol csak egyesével araszolgathattak az autók...”

According to the Fejér Megyei Hírlap in the summer of 2003, "Never before have there been so many babies and so many chimney cake seller along the Eger stream as there are at this festival (...) Despite the enormous pressure, everyone survived the first weekend in the Valley of Arts. At least fifty thousand people came to see the programmes, which was a huge success. Fifty-five thousand people were expected, and this was due to the fact that it was possible to move at a steady but undoubtedly snail's pace along the narrow roads where cars could only pass one by one..."
