Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A poharazó a Tisztviselői bérházban működött, amely 1912. novemberére készült el, a Haller utca és az Üllői út sarkán, az akkor Mihálkovics-térnek nevezett közterület jelentős részét elfoglalva. A fővárosban ez a bérház épült fel elsőként fürdőszobás lakásokkal. Tervezője Pecz Samu, a Központi Vásárcsarnok, és a Szilágyi Dezső téri református templom építésze.

A picture from the photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

The pub operated in the Officer's tenement house, which was completed by November 1912, at the corner of Haller Street and Üllői Road, occupying a significant part of the public area then called Mihálkovics Square. In the capital, this tenement house was the first to have apartments with bathrooms. Its designer was Samu Pecz, the architect of the Central Market Hall and the Reformed Church of Szilágyi Dezső Square.
