Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A feltartott kezű embereket ábrázoló szobor megrendítő hatást kelt, mint az egész – emlékhelyként látogatható – tábor. A szoborkompozíció kicsinyített másolatát 1986-ban állították fel Budapesten, a XIII. kerületben a Duna-parton. 2010 tavaszán pedig felújították. (kozterkep.hu)

A picture from the photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

Memorial monument of the holocaust martyrs. The statue, which depicts people with their hands held up, has a moving effect, like the whole camp, which can be visited as a memorial site. A small-scale copy of the sculpture composition was erected in 1986 in Budapest, in the 13th district on the bank of the Danube. It was renovated in the spring of 2010.
