A kezdetektől a mai napig (2015) ugyanazon helyen működő vendéglátóhelyet Förster János alapította 1903-ban. 1913-ban átépítették, 1929-ben bővítették. Az 1930-as évek körül lett az elnevezése „Apostolokhoz címzett söröző és borozó”, időközben éttermi választékkal egészítette ki italkínálatát. A söröző a boxok feletti apostolfőket ábrázoló zománcmozaikokról és faragott bútorzatáról híres elsősorban de a sörbarátok között ismeretes, hogy a müncheni Löwenbräu sör kizárólagos magyarországi forgalmazója is.

From the beginning to the present day (2015), the restaurant operating in the same place was founded in 1903 by János Förster. It was reconstructed in 1913 and expanded in 1929. Around the 1930s, it became known as the “Brasserie and Wine Bar for the Apostles,” and in the meantime added a selection of restaurant dishes to its beverage offerings. The pub is famous for its enamel mosaics and carved furniture depicting apostles above the boxes, but it is well known among beer lovers that it is the exclusive Hungarian distributor of Löwenbräu beer of Munich.
