A képen a Kereskedelem-, pénz- és hitelügy csarnoka látható, amely régi kereskedőházak mintájára épült. Favázas, deszkázott és vakolt épületet Quittner Zsigmond tervezte; az építő vállalkozók Neuschloss Ödön és Marcell. Az épület az országban még meglévő régi polgári, főleg kereskedői házak motívumai alapján tervezték. A főhomlokzat kézsmárki és lőcsei épületek stílusában, az innen balra eső oldal a nagyszebeni lábas házak utánzata, a tó felé néző hátsó oldal az iglói székház mintájára van kiképezve, míg az udvarnak a lőcsei Tőke-féle ház udvara szolgált mintául. Az Andrássy úttal szemben lévő második homlokzat reneszánsz stílusban épült.

Millennium Exhibition Buildings in Budapest in Austro-Hungarian Monarchy 1896 with the Commerce, Finance and Credit Hall Pavilion built on the model of old trading houses. The timber-framed, planked and plastered building designed by Mr. Zsigmond Quittner with the building contractors are Mr. Ödön and Mr. Marcell Neuschloss.

The building was designed based on the motifs of old civic, mainly merchant houses still existing in the country. The main façade is in the style of the Kézsmárk and Lőcse buildings, the left side is an imitation of the feet houses in Nagyszeben, the backside facing the lake is modeled on the Igló Headquarters, while the court of the Lőcse house was modeled on the courtyard. The second façade opposite Andrássy Road was built in Renaissance style.
