S. Babi Budapestről került 1944 júliusában vitték Auschwitzba, családjával együtt. Innen egy hónap múlva Bergen-Belsenbe került nővérével együtt, majd Köln közelébe, az esseni Krupp gyárba vitték dolgozni, ahol a német hadsereg számára állított elő az üzem légvédelmi és páncéltörő ágyúkat. A szovjet front közeledtével a tábor lakóit útnak indították Nyugat felé. Előbb vonaton utaztak, majd egy hónapon át gyalogoltak. Április 30-án amerikai csapatok szabadították fel az emberkaravánt. A napló töredékpapírokra lejegyzett kézirat. Kezdő dátuma 1944. március 17. Ekkor már úton volt rabmenet. Utolsó bejegyzése még jóval az amerikai csapatok érkezése előtt, 1944. április 10-én kelt.

Ms. Babi S. was taken from Budapest to Auschwitz in July, 1944 together with her family. After a month she was taken to Bergen-Belsen with her sister, and later she was taken to Essen, to the Krupp Factory, near Cologne, where they produced anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns to the German army. As the Soviet front git closer to them, the people in the camp were sent towards West. First, they traveled by train and then walked for a month. On April 30, US troops liberated the caravan of people. The diary was recorded as manuscripts on fragments of papers. The start date of the manuscript is March 17, 1944. At that time the march of prisoners already started. The last entry was written on 10th of April, 1944, well before the arrival of US troops.
