R. Józsefné 81 éves volt 1944 nyarán, mikor szülővárosából, Fegyvernekből előbb a szolnoki gyűjtőtáborba, majd az ausztriai Bruck an der Leithe lágerébe hurcolták. Ebben a munkatáborban nem szelektáltak, s nem választották egymástól el a családtagokat sem. Néhány hónap múlva a front közeledtével Bergen Belsenbe telepítették át a telep foglyait. Itt sem esett át válogatáson. 1945.szeptember 10-én, 82 évesen tért vissza Budapestre.

Mrs. József R. was 81 years old in the summer of 1944, when she was forced to leave Fegyvernek, her home city and taken to the Szolnok camp first. After it, she was deported to the lager in Bruck an der Leithe, in Austria. In the labor camp she was not separated from her family, and other families were not separeted, either. A few months later, when the front got closer to the camp, they all were transported to Bergen Belsen where she did not go under selection, either. On the 10th of September, 1945 she could return to Budapest at the age of 82.
