A fényképen az Apostolok Étterem és Söröző Nagytermének belső látképe látható. A terem oldalfalai mentén 6-6 számozott box (fülke), a hossztengely irányában helyezkedik el. Valamennyi előtt különálló pad szeparálja el a a fülkéket, a közlekedésre szolgáló folyosótól. Az egyetlen hosszanti tengelyre felfűzött fülkesor, egy régvolt vendéglátói struktúra jellegzetes emléke. Hasonlókat ma már csak, a Kárpátia Étteremben és a Mátyás Pincében találhatunk. Maga a vendéglő az egyik legrégibb a fővárosban működök közül. Megnyitásának pontos idejével kapcsolatban nincs egyetértés: 1902. vagy 1903. Alapítója egyértelműen Förster János - egy vendéglős dinasztia második generációja -, akit később fiai követtek a családi vállalkozás élén. A második világháború után 1990-es évekig a Pannonia Szálloda és Vendéglátó Vállalat üzemeltette, majd a rendszerváltás után jogutódja a Pannonia Hotels Rt. vette át. 2004-től, egy hosszabb időszakra zárva volt (2008-ig?).

Its founder is clearly János Förster - the second generation of an inn dynasty - who was later followed by his sons at the head of the family business. After the Second World War, it was operated by the Pannonia Hotel and Catering Company until the 1990s, and after the change of regime, its legal successor was taken over by Pannonia Hotels Rt. From 2004, it was closed for a longer period (until 2008?).
