A fotón a Gerbeaud Cukrászda belső terének egyik részlete látható. A kétszárnyú üvegezett ajtó, a Nagy Szalonba vezető bejárat, az úgynevezett "Kanyar" helyiség felől nézve. Széles átjárás vezet a szalon második traktusába. Az végén, a kép középpontjában alig láthatóan, de ott van a falon Gustave Moreau festménye is: "Pékinasnak misebort adó ministránsgyerek". Az előtérben, jobbra kávégép látszik a pulton, balra pedig az 1984-ben megvásárolt Gerbeaud Ilonát ábrázoló mellszobor.

Swiss confectioner and chocolate manufacturer Mr. Emil Gerbeaud, (Carouge, 22 February 1854 - Budapest, 9 November 1919). He moved to Hungary in 1884 and joined Henrik Kugler's confectionery on Gizella Square in Budapest (now Vörösmarty Square), where a café was opened.
