Az 1870-es évet tekintik a képes levelezőlap "születési évének" - August Schwarz oldenburgi könyvkereskedő, ekkor nyomtatott egyik oldalán képpel dekorált levelezőlapot, - ezért Képzőművészeti Alap, az 1970-ben kiadott képes levelezőlapjaira rányomtatta a fenti feliratot. Az évszám a képeslap kiadásának vélhető időpontja.

On the picture side of the postcard, you can see one of the open-air thermal pools of the Harkány Thermal and Beach Baths. On the lower left of the reverse side is the inscription "Picture postcard is 100 years old". The year 1870 is considered to be the "birth year" of the picture postcard - August Schwarz, a bookseller from Oldenburg, had a picture postcard printed with a decoration on one side of it. That is why the Fine Arts Fund printed the above inscription on its picture postcards issued in 1970. The year is the presumed date of issue of the postcard.
