A felvételen a budai Várnegyedben lévő Dísz tér látható, az 1896-os térrendezés közepette. Háttérben az egykori Marczibányi ház látszik, a copf stílusú emeletes ház földszintjén Bauer János vendéglője és Janács János kávéháza üzemelt 1893-tól. 1912-ben az épületben működő Corvin kávéház tulajdonosa Donreich Károly volt. Később a helyén a "Muskétás" vendéglő várta vendégeit. A ház előtti szoborcsoportot 1893-ban avatták fel. Zala György alkotása az 1848-1849-es szabadságharc alatt Buda visszavívásában résztvevő honvédeknek állít emléket.

The photo shows the Dísz square in the Buda Castle district, in the middle of the square redevelopment in 1896. The former Marczibányi House is visible in the background, the ground floor of the Zopf style multi-storey building was occupied by János Bauer's restaurant and János Janács's café as of 1893. In 1912, the owner of the Corvin Café in the building was Károly Donreich. Later the "Muskétás" restaurant was located on the site. The group of statues in front of the house was unveiled in 1893. The sculpture by György Zala commemorates the soldiers who took part in the recapture of Buda during the 1848-1849 War of Independence.
