A képen a Dísz tér látható, 1896-os rendezése idején. A háttérben az egykori Marczibányi ház copf stílusú emeletes épülete látszik. Bejáratától jobbra, a földszinten Janács János kávéháza működött. A kapu bal oldalán Ehlers Henrik asztalos üzlete volt. Az épület előtt áll a Budát 1849-ben visszavívó honvédek emlékére állított szoborcsoport (Zala György alkotása). Az előtérben, kertészek ültetnek virágokat az előkészített ágyásokba.

The photo shows the Dísz Square in the Castle District of Buda. The former Marczibányi House is visible in the background, the ground floor of the Zopf-style house was occupied by János Bauer's restaurant and János Janács's café from 1893. Later, in 1912, Károly Donreich was the owner of the Corvin Café in the building. The statue group in front of the house was unveiled in 1893. The statue, by György Zala, commemorates the soldiers who took part in the recapture of Buda during the 1848-1849 War of Independence. The photo also shows the portal of Henrik Ehlers carpenter workshop.
