Borvizes forrásait már a rómaiak is ismerték. A fürdő a XIX. század közepétől indult fejlődésnek, fénykorát a századfordulón élte. A napjainkban is üdülőtelepként ismert helység, Székelyudvarhelytől északkeletre található Romániában, de a képeslap postára adásának idején még Magyarországhoz tartozott. Its sour springs were already known to the Romans. The spa began to develop in the mid-19th century, and reached its heyday at the turn of the century.
